The Story of Our Name
Studio Qiling takes its name from a fusion of the Chinese names of its founders, Melissa (“Qi”) and Jasline (“Ling”).
The brand name also echoes the 'Qilin' - a majestic chimera from Asian Chinese mythology, often regarded as omens of prosperity, wisdom, protection, and kindness.
Studio Qiling takes root in this symbolism that shapes our work: storytelling, craftsmanship, and the beauty of intentional designs.
The Founders
Founded by long-time friends, Melissa Tan and Jasline Ang, Studio Qiling brings together expertise across luxury, art and fashion.
Artist and Co-Founder Jasline leads the creative vision of Studio Qiling's illustrations and print designs, drawing from years of experience with luxury maisons, Goyard and Louis Vuitton.
Melissa brings her background in luxury retail, shaping the brand's vision and growth, taking care of the business side of things.
